Identity verification runs through a regulated third-party provider. Monolith stores the outcome and the supporting status; it does not decide the outcome itself.
What to prepare
- Individuals — a government photo ID, and a proof of address.
- Entities — incorporation documents, the register extract, and identification for beneficial owners and signatories.
How a status reads
| Status | What it means | Whose move |
|---|---|---|
| Not started | No file opened yet | Yours |
| Pending | A document is missing or unreadable | Yours |
| In review | The provider is assessing the file | Wait |
| Approved | Verification complete | — |
| Rejected | The file was refused | Contact support |
An unknown provider status and a missing document are not the same thing, and the screens distinguish them: one tells you what to upload, the other tells you the action is on our side.
Screening
Sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening run alongside verification. A sanctions match blocks subscription. A PEP match does not block by itself; it routes the file to enhanced due diligence.
Expiry
A verification carries an expiry date. You are notified before it lapses, and a lapsed verification blocks new subscriptions until it is refreshed.
